Each team will have to solve 5 brain teasers. Each correct answer is worth $4,000 so up to $100,000 can be won in this mission. Each team has their own sub-board where you will solve the puzzles. You only have one guess per puzzle and so only the answer from the team leader (designated by the bold numbers) will count. Team leader, please give your answer in the form "The answer to puzzle [puzzle #] is [answer]." Each team will be eligible to win an exemption. All you have to do is solve all 5 riddles correctly. You have 24 hours for this mission. Good luck! TEAMS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HELP OTHER TEAMS!!!

Okay, guys. For number 2, "nine" would work, wouldn't it? Number 1 is easier when you switch names; A is as old as B was when A was half as old as B is now. Four years ago, A was as old as B was when A was a third as old as B is now. How old will A be in two years? Still workin' on 'em.

I know that for number 1, B is a multiple of 6 years old. I'm quitting on that one for now.
Oh, and Anderson;
The answer to number 2 is nine.

For #3 - No idea right now, will sleep on it.
For #4 - also 18.. lol (again worries me)

I solved 5; it's lead. It works like this.
If you were to examine the puzzle, you'd see that each of the first three words have letters in common,
rock:cure:menu
The function is that letters 1 and 3 of the first word becomes the 3rd and 1st letters in the second word, and that letters 2 and 4 of the third word become letters 4 and 2 of the second word. If you were to follow this function for the blank puzzle;
able:lead:idle I won't tell Anderson this answer unless one other person says it's correct. Yes, I already KNOW it's correct, but it's just proper.

18 people = 153 handshakes 12 people = 66 hand shakes 153 + 66 = 119!
The answer to number 2 is nine. Or eleven. Or several. If only one, we choose nine. The answer to number 4 is 18 men. The answer to number 5 is lead.

I'll leave question 1 up to you; I get baffled at confusing word problems combined with complicated math. I can do one or the other, but not both.
